Every year around the world, communities
under the Google Developers Group host
a local conference called DevFest in their

countries from October to December. This                                                   
years DevFest Banjul event showcased the
brilliant developments made in tech
through a series of workshops. The
sessions this year included Robotics in The
Gambia, Machine Learning on Tiny Edge
Devices, Getting Started with Google
Crowdsource, Security From the Inside
Out, and of course, our every year favorite,
Career Development in the Tech Space.

One noteworthy DevFest activity was
the Women Tech Makers Cocktail,
held to inspire young women tech
aspirants and enthusiasts. The event
recognized and celebrated the
outstanding contributions of women
in the tech industry, highlighting the
need for shared stories as a tool for
empowering women. Together we
chanted “I AM REMARKABLE” for
all the reasons that make us strong,
brave, brilliant, resilient, and creative.
