The commemoration was held at Alliance Franco. It was well-attended by students, aspiring entrepreneurs and entrepreneurs. The day served as a moment of inspiration and discussion on many factors surrounding the business arena of The Gambia and the world at large.
The Global Entrepreneurship week is annually celebrated from 14th to 20th November.
During the period, entrepreneurs assemble to formulate solutions to the several problems in the business sector of their various nations and the meet up at Alliance Franco featuring an interesting fire chat and panel discussion on access to finance for entrepreneurs.
A few notable names that were present included the coordinator of G-Tech Project, Babucar Coly, Managing Director of GAIN, Momodou Drammeh, Founder of The Hub, Beran Dondeh and Mr Muhammed from Start-Up Incubator.
They shared key knowledge that would help the young entrepreneurs thrive in their industries. An opportunity was granted to a couple of businesses (Al Tafsir, Aaliyah’s, Liberty Gaming Lounge) to exhibit their products.
Overall, the event was an efficacious attempt at aggrandising inclusiveness in the business ecosystem of The Gambia.
