CLIMATE CHANGE

Our call to a global climate movement begins with our community initiatives. Realizing that each institution’s work must help build a community that is inclusive and reflective of our collective goals, empowers young people, and is geared towards resilience and sustainability. In the fight against Climate Change, the establishment of resilient movements are necessary. In our research work we’ve partnered with Great Institute, the Ministry of Environment, Climate Change and Water Resources, Gambia Ocean Heroes, the Department of Agriculture, and the Ecosystem-Based Adaptation Project.

To take action against the impacts of Climate Change is to cultivate resilience, drive sustainability, raise awareness, advocate for Climate Action, and protect our natural resources. With Gambia being on the coastline most of our coastal communities rely heavily on the sea with fishing communities sustaining lives and livelihood, and our beautiful beach attracting tourism and serving as our greatest recreational area as a country, ensuring its cleanliness and protection must be strengthened to protect lives and livelihoods.
